All Green Open Spaces in Central Jakarta Closed Until July 5

Central Jakarta Government closed all green open spaces (RTHs), such as parks, urban forests, green belts, and plant nurseries until July 5. Those are closed to prevent new COVID-19 cluster.

This closure is carried out to prevent crowd which is potential to cause new COVID-19 cluster

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda explained, there are 111 green open spaces managed by her side and several parks managed by City Park and Forestry Sub-agency, including Banteng Field Park, Suropati Park, Menteng Park, and Situlembang Park which recently closed to public.

"This closure is carried out to prevent crowd which is potential to cause new COVID-19 cluster," she mentioned, Thursday (6/24).

According to her, hundreds green open spaces in the region were closed according to Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency Head Decree which has been applied since June 22, 2021.

"Jakarta City Park and Forestry Agency Head Decree is issued to follow up Jakarta Gubernatorial Decree No. 769 on Extension of Micro-Scale Public Activity Restrictions (Micro PPKM).
